Unfortunately, there is really no way that we can know that. Scripture gives very little information about the topic of suicide. There are many people that have had near death experiences that claim they went to hell until they were medically revived. Whether these are real or just the human brain shutting down when death is near is hotly debated.

We may never really know if the act of suicide means automatic damnation, so it's best to err on the side of caution. The horrors of hell will be so much more drastic than anything that can happen to a person during his/her life on earth. So no matter how bad things seem in a person's life, it's a real party compared to what hell has in store for sinners.

Does every Person go to Hell if they Committed Suicide?

As a Christian, I do believe that suicide is a sin (it's a form of murder). However, you don't go to hell for sinning; each and every one of us sins. That's why Jesus came to die for us, taking the punishment for what we did wrong, and rising again from the grave. God forgives us of our sins, including suicide, because of Christ's death. The only way to be sure you go to heaven is accepting Jesus into your heart as your Lord and Savior. So, I suppose if the person who committed suicide had accepted Him, he/she would still go to heaven. This raises the question of what would happen to them if they had not done this. I have sometimes wondered if people get a second chance to accept Christ after they die. There are many different opinions, but we will really only know for sure after we die. I do believe that if you don't ultimately choose to accept Christ's gift of salvation, you will go to hell. I am just not sure of the deadline (no pun intended). For more details, I suggest looking in your Bible..Catholic AnswerEvery person who dies in a state of unrepented mortal sin goes to hell. Suicide is a mortal sin in most circumstances, and it usually leaves little time to repent. So, although we believe that most people who commit suicide go to hell, we really don't know, as we can never judge what is happened with another person's soul in the last moments of their life, that is between them and God.

How do you control suicide?

Suicide cannot be controlled, the most we can do is try to prevent it. Taking your question as it is, if we wanted to control suicide, it would need to be legal with a permit. if people had to apply for a permit and have their suicide approved, then it would be considered "controlled".

When did the Catholic Church allow people who committed suicide to be buried with a Catholic Service?

Up until recently, the Catholic Church considered those who committed suicide to have been guilty of a mortal sin and would automatically be condemned to hell. Thus they were forbidden a Catholic burial. However, recent advances in mental health science demonstrate that most of those who commit suicide are suffering from various forms of mental illness and not totally responsible for their actions. To be guilty of a mortal sin a person must be completely aware of the action they are taking and of its consequences.

What are the Catholic beliefs about suicide?

People who commit suicide go to Hell. The Roman Catholic Church teaches that suicide is a sin that a person cannot repent of, and that a person who commits suicide is guilty of not trusting God to provide for his or her circumstances. Self-sacrifice to save the life of others is not regarded as suicide. Most other denominations don't have any dogmatic beliefs about suicide because it is not plainly discussed in the Bible.
