Do narcissists usually pick supply sources they feel are inferior or beneath them?

Never think for one minute that all narcissistic people have a higher level of intelligence because it's not true. They people watch and use the weaker points of others to gain control. Narcissistic people are just sneaky and like to brainwash those around them into thinking they are more clever than they are. Narcissistic people can come from backgrounds where they had little education, but they can be "street smart." A prime example is Charles Manson from the 60s on. He had a cult following and although he didn't commit any murders he put the seed of murder into his followers. For his deeds he's in prison and will remain there until he dies. He still comes up for parole on the actress Sharon Tate murder. If one were to listen long enough to this raving lunatic I could well see how he could brainwash young people. He can be convincing at times and give food for thought until you come to your own senses and realize he's a very sick individual. If a partner or other person holds their ground with a narcissistic over a subject it's a Mexican Stand-off. The narcissist will NEVER back down until they brainwash the other person into their beliefs and if that doesn't work with certain individuals the narcissist can make life miserable for them. Narcissists are high in ego and plain bullies. If you know one run!

It's not uncommon for narcissists to partner with co-dependent people. But no matter what type of person they choose, they will always view that person as real, therefore less-than, that which exists in their fantasies which is a large part of their thought process.
