First, check with your pediatrician or physician. More and more schools and community colleges are offering these classes. You can check online, or your local library. Some of these classes charge a fee, but there are also free programs out there. Wondering what kinds of topics are covered? Many of the parenting classes will probably focus on some of the following: family rules, behavior management, ages and stages, rules for fighting fairly, how parents can manage their anger, baby-proofing your home, spoiling your children, and time-out. Parenting classses can make a good parent an even better parent. They can help you deal with the stresses in your life. You will meet people just like you, having the same issues. You can learn to deal with situations before they happen. If you are a parent in need of help, and most parents need help, try taking a parenting class.
