They are plentiful and a source of protein. The wild ones tend to be a bit larger than the domestic ones we are used to seeing in pet shops. They reproduce quickly and take up much less care, feeding and room than other animals, making them more profitable. Originally they were eaten on special occasions, they are more likely to be served with any meal.

No. Guinea Pigs can be found almost anywhere. Peru is one of the only places where they run wild.

they eat same as normal guinea pigs which include spinach, sweetcorn, carrots and even parsley. they also like apple and cucumber.
