Will skunks attack newborn kittens

Cirumstantial evidence, but I think a skunk did eat two of our kittens. Our kittens were in a wooden cat house with the entrance about a foot back from our back wall, entrance facing the wall. Last night when it was getting dark I saw a skunk walking away from the house area. This morning I found the skeletal remains of two of the kittens at the door of the cat house--only skulls and fur left.

Yes, they will eat them if they can get them. I just lost two kittens to a skunk before we were able to save the rest.

Skunks tend to move in roving gangs of 7. Each with his or her own individual purpose. Usually there is a leader that is in charge of the pack. If you are worried about the safety of your kittens be sure to keep them inside until you have dismantled the established order of skunks ruling everything in their roving gangs. Once you can oust the leader then the rebellion can begin and fear will take over the hearts and minds of the government leaders of the skunks in their roving gangs of seven. Make sure to not get sprayed tho cuz dat be nasty lol. Remember that war should always be the last option when confronting things. Diplomacy is best :)

Skunks are very protective. They think that someone is invading their space even though they live outside.

We just caught a skunk (at night) trying to kill/carry off a kitten outside... so yes, apparently they do....

You can permanently remove it from your property by contacting the critter guy if you're in Ontario.
