Also note that it is only the adult squirrels that have fat stores who hibernate the spring born juveniles don't usually have fat reserves therefore the juveniles would not hibernate

∙ 11y agoAll squirrels hibernate in winter, but unlike a lot of other squirrels, the grey squirrel does not hibernate during the winter months.They are also very active in the day time and enjoy scurrying about and foraging for food. Also some ground squirrels don't hibernate if they are in climates where the winters don't get too cold.
