I really hope the person who posted this answer isn't serious! First of all, it depends on the state. Some require you pass a state exam. I do believe you must have a masters in the area you teach. It would be helpful to take some courses in methods and theories in adult education, but only to benefit you and your students.Please never take advice regarding education from a person who spells college with an "a" and mispells "teach". Also, it is called a teaching "certificate" not a license which they also mispelled. All I can say is "wow", I hope this person isn't actually instructing others!
