The Statler Brothers began their career in Staunton, Virginia in 1955. This quartet first performed gospel music in churches in their area. They first called themselves "The Four Star Quartet" and then "The Kingsmen".
I think I have every Statler Brothers recording and DVD in existence and as far as I can tell, no a cappela version exists.
