Of course. The Viking bloodline was never actually exterminated. Many of them settled (civilized) in parts of England before and after their final defeat by William duke of Normandy at the Battle of Hastings in 1066.

The word "Viking" didn't describe a nationality or an ethnicity, it described someone who travelled abroad to trade, settle or rob.

When that kind of thing didn't work anymore, people stopped doing it and found other ways to make a living.

So no, there are no vikings around any more.

But quite a lot of people alive today have ancestors who were vikings.

There are certainly people still living in the Scandinavian countries from which the vikings originated but the term usually refers to those people who lived in those nations between the 8th and 1th centuries CE.

The term Viking, and indeed, Norsemen, have fallen out of use many years ago. Though, naturally, descendants of the original vikings still exist today. It is simply that they have ceased pillaging and live in a more civilised fashion, nowadays.
