We own 2 West Highland Terriers. We enjoy them because they do not shed hair like a German Shepherd or cats. When they get dirty, we put a towel in their cage. Dog comes out clean; towel comes out dirty. We wash our Westies every 2-3 months and can attest to their overall ease of care. They reward you by being wonderful lap dogs and great fun.

∙ 12y agoSome people say that they don't shed, but all dogs shed at some point. But, westies shed very little, and since they're fur is white, the fur doesn't show up on floors. Hope this helped!
