Well, technically you can get punched any day of the year for any reason, but wearing red on Saint Patrick's Day is no longer a legitimate reason to get socked. That was a tradition of drunk celebrators that went out in the early to mid 80's. To my knowledge, Saint Patrick never slapped anyone for wearing red in his lifetime.
