I don't know if there's a specific minimum height. But the table that they use to determine what your maximum weight should be (based on your height) starts at 60", or 5 feet exactly.

Is the Roman legion the same as the Roman army?

No, not quite. A Roman legion is a part of a Roman army. However at certain times and under certain conditions a "legion" could be considered the actual army. For example, if there was a need for a river crossing, a legion would be sent in to build a bridge and it would be said that the "army" built the bridge. It's all a matter of words. Generally, though, an army consisted of several legions under one commander.

What is the average weight of a roman soldier?

There was no set weight for a military recruit. The qualification was that the guy had to be healthy. If he were too thin the army would see that he gained muscle. If he were too fat, the army would see to it that he reduced. A man's height was more important than his initial weight.

What are the weight regulations to join the US Army?

Yes. There are height/weight standards you must maintain while you're in, as well. Generally speaking, your height and weight won't necessarily exclude you from enlistment. If you're overweight and/or unable to pass your initial PT test, you'll have to spend time in a Physical Fitness Unit before you ship downrange for Basic Training. If you're too short or too lightweight, it could exclude you from some programmes (such as Airborne School).
