Well it depends on what kind of ice cream michine it is. Like the one at my house we turn it on and we just add thick milk and fruit and it takes about 30 minutes for it to make the ice cream. Some Frozen Yogurt machines you freeze the dish you put the ingredents in in the freezer.

Homemade ice cream maker. Great for kids party. Pour ice cream mix in 1 quart Ziplock baggie(3/4 full). Put this baggie in 1 gallon bag with ice and couse salt(2 tbl.). roll the baggies for 20-30 minutes. You will have a great soft serve ice cream.
