You don't have to but I would reccoment it. Although the Instyler is amazing, it is still an iron that can damage your hair. Hair is at it's weakest when it is wet, so i would let your hair dry naturallly before using it. You can blow dry it but I have learned from expirience, (and very curly hair) that when you blow dry first it usually takes LONGER to straighten.

Yes. The InStyler really does style your hair while not damaging it. It works on all types of hair . Course hair , long hair , short hair , and fine hair. It brushes while styling so it does not leave you will clumps of hair stuck together. Its also good to use the product while hair is damp. And people with course curly hair you should chemically treat your hair and then try using the instyler.

Well there can be two reasons that your hair can smell burnt , - One reason is that if your hair is thin and you have the instyler on a high setting you might want to turn it down -The second possibility is that it could just be dirty from any product or just the natural oils from your hair and you might want to clean that. - What i would do to clean my instyler is, i use rubbing alcohol and a cotton ball and i pass that over the iron when its not used and try to clean the bristles on it because their might be some left over hair tangled in them and you should wait at least 2-5 min. before using the instyler after cleaning it out .

Ya! I have SUPER thick hair, and I use it so much! I sold my flat iron and my curler. But I kept my mini flat iron.

when your hair is wet take little sections and twist them to your head and bobby pin them there. let them sit over night. Or put your hair in a giant braid when wet. Or you could use the Instyler.

I would not recommend hot curling it cause it will burn off. I tried to use the instyler on urban beauty hair and it near burned it off. Don't do it!
