No you do not. However, a statistics course would still be very beneficial to you in many ways. If you really would like to know how taking statistics benefits an individual, ask a math teacher. So many students think of their education in terms of just what is necessary, and not in terms of what helps them to become a better professional in whatever it is they intend to do. I do not mean this about you, just many students, and it is something to think about. Always strive to develop skills that will help you develop into a better professional. The more developed you are as a professional, the more valuable you will become to employers as well as the individuals you help. This will have an affect on your marketability, salary, promotions, etc.
