low
In the rain, it's best to use your:
Low beams
Low beams in rain, fog or snow. Hi beams reflect off the rain or snow and blind you.
low beams
You should use low beams when driving in fog. It is more difficult to see driving with high beams in fog.
Low beams...high beams will light up the snowflakes and actually impair vision.
Low beams - high beams only light up the snow or fog which further impairs vision.
High beams are the lights you want to use when driving at night when no one else is in front of you. High beams will give you increased visibility, and that's a good thing except when you're blinding other drivers, or driving in severe fog or rain. In severe fog or rain high beams can actually be worse.
So you don't blind other drivers
Low beams are normally used more than high beams, so are more likely to burn out first. Some vehicles use separate bulbs for the high and low beams, and some use a bulb with two filaments. In either case, the low beam usually burns out first, while the high beam continues to function. This problem can also be in the switch, but is usually in the bulb.
Replace the bulb. The low beams and high beams use separate parts inside the bulb. If replacing the bulb does not fix the problem, check the fuses.
low beams
The low beams use 9006 and the high beams use 9005.
low for a highway when theres many people around ...and if your on a dark road with no one on it use you high beams so youll be able to see better ...but remember on a crowded road having your high beams on can affect other drivers
Using low beam headlights and front facing fog lights.
