Does anyone know this Astro boy looking animated movie?
The movie shares the same art style and themes as the Astro boy tv shows. Most of the characters in the movie even look like variants of the tv show characters. Overall plot of the movie, the best I can recall, is that this professor and his nephew (Astro boy look alike) are invited to visit this company that develops and manufactures robots. Robots have taken over most of jobs in the city and at first the old man and boy impressed by their advanced tech. But, they happened upon the people of the city protesting the robots presence and living in poverty. They meet the president of the company and his daughter. Boy and girl run away and explore city. Boy discovers girl is an android. Girl bot is used by her father ( creator) as a weapon that control all the robots distributed by the company. Ending, Girl droid self-destructs. Boy digs through the rubble of the building and finds her heart, still functioning.
