No, 11 AM is right before noon, 12 PM. 11 PM is right before midnight 12 AM.
No, it's still noon. Technically, it's not afternoon until 12:01 pm.
after. 12 p.m. is noon
12 noon pm
Midnight is am and (obviously) noon is pm
There is no such thing as 12 AM or 12 PM. Those are commonly used improper terms. The abbreviations AM and PM stand for Ante Meridiem and Post Meridiem, respectively. The terms ante and post mean before and after. The term meridiem refers to when the sun is at the middle of its arc across the sky. Nominally the sun is at its meridiem at noon. Since it is *at* its meridiem this is neither before nor after the meridiem. It *is* the meridiem. Likewise, midnight is neither 12 AM nor 12 PM. It is equally far from both. It is simply 12 midnight. The military clock is better than the civilian clock for many reasons. One is that eliminates the complexity of specifically accounting for whether a time is before of after midnight. On the military clock noon is read as 1200 hours, and midnight is read as 2400 hours.
AM (Ante Meridiem, Latin for Before Midday) is between 0000 and 1200, and PM (Post Meridiem, Latin for After Midday) is between 1200 and 0000.
PM.
AM stands for Ante Meridian - meaning before noon and PM is Post Meridian - after noon.
Neither. The correct way to identify 12:00 is to say 12:00 noon or 12:00 midnight.am stands for ante meridiem which means before noon and pm stands for post meridiem which means after noon. Since noon itself is neither before noon or after it, the use of am and pm is not appropriate. The same argument can be applied to midnight.
12 PM is noon. 00:00 AM is midnight. But for a considered opinion, see the link below...
Strictly speaking, there is no 1200 PM. There's 12 noon and 12 midnight. 12 noon is 1200 hours.
pm mean past miday and am mean after midnight
There is no such time as 1200 am: there is 12 noon and 12 midnight. The question cannot, therefore, be answered.
AM is midnight to 11:59 just before noon. PM is noon to 11:59 just before midnight.
I t is impossible to answer the question since there is no time such as 1200 am. It is either 1200 noon or 1200 midnight and, for obvious reasons, they will give different answers.
Am and pm are latin, ante/post meridiem. In application AM is from 12 midnight to 11.59 before noon and pm is from 12 noon to 11.59 before midnight
Am is any time between midnight and 11:59 just before noon. Pm is noon to 11:59 just before midnight.
I am assuming that you mean "how do you change the time from a 24 hour clock to a twelve hour clock." Just subtract 1200 hours from any time over 1200H. 0000H is midnight. 0100H is 1:00 am etc. up to noon. 1200H is Noon. 1300H is 1:00 pm (ie 1300 - 1200 = 100 = 1:00 pm). 1600H would be 4:00 pm (1600 - 1200 = 400 = 4:00 pm). 2200H is 10:00 pm (2200 - 1200 = 1000 = 10:00 pm).
Ante and post meridium, meaning before and after noon respectively. This means 12am (midnight) to 11:59 just before noon is am, and the other 12 hours is pm.
There is no such time as 12 pm. There is either 12 noon (= 1200 hours) or 12 midnight (= 0000 hours).
