Yes I had BCBS PPO of Texas pay for my surgery in May 2008. I have lost 80 pounds in 5 months. BCBS made me follow a 6 month dietician controlled diet for 6 months prior to the surgery and needed a 5 year weight history and a BMI of 35 with two major health problems or a BMI of 40. I had both diabetes, high blood pressure & high cholesterol. My BMI was only 35, but they approved it! Since the surgery my diabetes has been reversed, my cholesterol is normal and my high blood pressure has gone away!
Some BCBS PPO policies cover abortion, and others don't. Call the number on the back of your card to find out about your particular policy. It depends on what coverage your employer purchased.
Oral surgery for accidental injuries can be covered under the medical plan. Some oral diseases are paid under a dental plan and some diseases (like oral cancer problems) are covered under the medical plan. You must contact BCBS to get a determination of what conditions are covered under the medical plan (your particular plan).
Yes they usually do, check it with your employer.
You can't generalize if a BCBS covers anything. It depends on your specific plan. Even if you and a relative both have BCBS you may have different coverage's depending on the plan, the best way to find out is to call the phone # on the back of your card and ask. Good luck!
To find out the answer to this question, you have to call Blue Cross and ask. There are many different policies that BCBS covers and your particular policy might or might not be covered. Surprisingly, BCBS is NOT an insurance company! They are the administrators of the policy your company buys. Your company decides what coverage they offer, BCBS is the company that pays out the benefits that your company covers. Ask at your company, see your human resources officer for more information. When you call the 800 number on your card, be prepared to give the numbers to your policy so that they can look it up.
I have back problems and need a office ball chair. Will it be covered by bcbs ?
