Of course it does. Rum is distilled from sugar cane. That being said the content is quite low as it does get converted into alcohol, but it does have sugar.

The above is incorrect. There is no sugar in distilled spirits unless it is added after distillation. See nutritiondata.self.com/facts/beverages/4011/2 for details. Total carbs for gin, rum, vodka, and whiskey = 0.

Small quantyties but yes, all rums have sugar and carbs in small percentages some, higher percentages others. Rum itself it is made from sugar cane, later molasses and finally rum. But, how much sugar and carbs? I need to know for medical reasons.
