Chevy did have a 4 cylinder in the S-10 but just like Ford does not offer 4WD with the 4 cylinder, Chevy may do the same. A search of "Chevy S-10 Specs" on Google will provide an answer.
what is the oil capacity for a 2002 Chevy s-10 pick up four cylinder engine

The 4 cylinder gas engine has a timing Chain. The 4 cylinder diesel engine has a timing Belt.
Need to know what year and what engine to help you.
If you have a 4 cylinder engine, the number one cylinder is the one closest to the front of the truck. If you have a 6 cylinder, it the on the driver side closest to the front of the truck
.035
5800 RPM
2000 Chevy s-10 2.2 liter 4 cylender 5 speedFirst you will need to post Year make model engine size and so on If it is an inline four cylinder engine, then you have one of two combinations. It will either be 1,3,4,2 or 1,2,4,3. This is because, in order to balance the power strokes in the engine, it needs to go outer cylinder, inner cylinder, outer cylinder, inner cylinder. If, however, it is more than four cylinders, then yes, you need to post your make model etc. !
PossibelMy Chevy S-10 was doing the same thing and the Chevy dealer in CA. told me it was an engine overspeed failure.Whatever that means. He said it had something to do with the ratio of the engine to transmission speed.I hope that gets you started. Good Luck.
The 4 cylinder doesn't have one. The 6 cylinder distributor is in the very back on top. Picture of engine to point out the distributor.
