A typical two-year (if pursued full-time) assocates degree contains sixty (60) semester credit hours (if the school's on the "semester credit hour" system), or 90 quarter credits (if the school's on the "quarter credit" system). Most schools in the US are on the "semester credit hour" system, but some are on the "quarter credit" system. It all just depends on the school.
