Different religions and belief systems have varying beliefs on this topic. Some believe that God does punish bad people, while others believe in concepts like karma or the idea that consequences of actions are a result of natural laws rather than direct punishment by a deity.

Every person is accountable for their actions; good or bad. It is our deeds that will make us either good in the eyes of others or bad. Hence no deed is ever overlooked by the great God. As for the bad deeds, some of them may be forgiven. Some of them one will be punished for in this present life. And the rest be punished for in the hereafter. It's the will of God entirely. There for one shoul forever keep seeking forgiveness and guidance to improve from Him. And if someone's right has not been given, God will simply not overlook that.
