If an oral contraceptive is taken with certain other drugs, the effects of either could be increased, decreased, or altered. Diazepam however, does NOT affect the efficacy of your birth control. If for any reason you do become pregnant while on the medication you should contact your health care provider as soon as possible.

∙ 10y agoI just called my pharmacy because I had the same concern - the answer is no. Although klonopin is an anti-seizure drug, it is in a different class that does not affect Birth Control. If anything, the birth control will INCREASE the effects of klonopin. That's what they told me!

Stress could cause you to miss your period even if you are on a birth control pill. It might be worth trying to reduce your stress some how. Probably easier said than done...but I found going to the gym an excellent stress reliever for me or maybe try out a new hobby or activity.
If you're taking more than 200 mg of Topamax, it could make the birth control pill, ring, or patch less effective. Topamax does not affect how well Depo Provera, the IUD, or condoms work.
