She marries lex because Lionel threatens to kill clark but then she fakes her death then comes back and gets back togoether with clark but then she fell in a coma cuz of brainiac and lex sends people to point a gun to her head and forced her to dump clark but then she escapes cuts her hair gets stronger and comes back only to wear the suit that is lex's only chance of survival the suit gives her superpowers but also absorbs enough kryptonite to kill clark so in the end she leaves smallville because if she stays she'll kill him oliver kills lex and clark is left aloneagain only to find he's falling in love with LOIS LANE.

They do, but it's a strained relationship since Bizarro Clark pretended to be Clark and Lana didn't even notice anything weird with him. Lana leaves him by the end of season 7.

In the recent episode of Smallville "POWER", we learn that Lana never actually left Clark because of any kind of strained relationship between them. Spoiler It turns out that Lex had a few of his men force Lana to record the tape where she breaks up with Clark. They then abducted her but she was able to escape. In the episode, Clark finds out that Lana had her own mission to get powers similar to Clarks. This way Clark wouldn't have to worry about her safety every second of the day. In the end Lana gets the powers, but no one knows if they are safe because they havent been tested on humans. It seems that Lana might be back, but its not 100% clear.
