The MacBook Air does not have a CD/DVD drive built in. It is designed to be used on a wireless network and, if required, would connect to a CD/DVD drive on another computer via the network. An external USB CD/DVD drive can be added.
There are various drive options for the MacBook Pro depending on the particular model:
250GB, 320GB or 500GB 5400-rpm Serial ATA hard drive; optional 320GB or 500GB 7200-rpm hard drive, or 128GB or 256GB solid-state drive
8x slot-loading SuperDrive (DVD±R DL/DVD±RW/CD-RW)
Maximum write: 8x DVD-R, DVD+R; 4x DVD-R DL (double layer), DVD+R DL (double layer), DVD-RW, DVD+RW; 24x CD-R; 10x CD-RW
Maximum read: 8x DVD-R, DVD+R, DVD-ROM; 6x DVD-ROM (double layer DVD-9), DVD-R DL (double layer), DVD+R DL (double layer), DVD-RW, DVD+RW; 24x CD
No, using wireless technology, MacBook Airs can access other computers optical drives. Although they can do this, you are also able to buy a USB optical drive attachment.
The MacBook Air can be purchased with either a Serial ATA hard disc or a Solid State drive.
No but you can purchase an external super-drive at any apple store, or off the apple store online.
The MacBook Pro's SuperDrive will play and record both CDs and DVDs.
No it does not. But the Macbook pro does. Although, I dont reccomend the new macbook pro. It has screen diplay problems. I reccomend the 2008 vershion of the macbook pro 17 inch.
Yes, they all have a CD/DVD drive EXCEPT the MacBook-AIR- does not.
yes, a CD and DVD drive
Yes it does.
The macbook air super-drive is basically a disk drive(like the ones you find in other mac laptops). You can use it to play dvds, cds and games.
There are 3 things you need in order to perform MacBook data recover: Apple MacBook, MacBook file recovery software and hard drive (or external disk).
Apple sells an external Super Drive (CD/DVD drive) that plugs into your MacBook Air's USB port.
The MacBook Air does not have an internal optical drive, but you can buy an external one for $99 at any Best Buy.
Probably a bad (scratched) disk. If it happens with every disk, then it's a bad disk drive.
If you're referring to the MacBook Pro's optical drive, those made mid-2012 or earlier and are non-Retina reside hidden either in the front or the side. MacBook Pro Retina versions don't have an optical drive.
Yes, easily. Put your iTunes on a disk or flash drive and insert it into the macbook. All of your iTunes should easily be transferred and usable.
just drag it
No Macintosh has included a floppy drive since the release of the iMac G3 in 1998. If you need to use a floppy disk, you will have to purchase an external USB drive.
Simply plug the pen drive into the Mac and then find the disk icon on the desktop, open it, find the files you want then click and hold onto the file and drag it to the desktop. It's called Drag and Drop.
I'd say either a Macbook original, or a Macbook Air. They are both small, and are the same price of $999. Don't go buying a Macbook Pro, that laptop is expensive and to a 12-year old, it makes no difference between a Macbook Air and Macbook Pro. Both MAcbook Air and original Macbook have high memory for games and school projects, downloads etc. Take note that the Macbook Air has no disc drive. So if he or she is into watching movies or playing CDs, choose the original Macbook. Hope this helps!
Unfortunatley No. The discs are made for the specific model they are for.
