No. Naruto doesn't die, but comes rather close to it. The priestess of the Last of the Demons, Shion, has the unique power to seal away MÅryÅ and predict the deaths of certain people and shown at the start of the movie, she had a prediction of Naruto's demise. These predictions had a 100% success rate. At the beginning of the movie Shion is a selfish, conceited brat, because of her lonely past. But as the movie progressed Shion started to think Naruto as her friend, and actually started to fall for him. Later, Naruto is about to die from the plots antagonist, MÅryÅ, but is saved by Shion because she planted Miroku's (her mother's) bell on Naruto earlier, which protects him from his death. Breaking the 100% success rate.

I believe the movie you are talking about is Naruto Shippuuden movie. If you watched the whole movie you would know the answer to your question. No Naruto does not die in the movie. It starts off with Shiion having a priestist vision of the future. The visions show her warnings of people dying protecting her life. Throughout the movie Naruto knows he is going to die, but still protects her for the sake of the world. In the end Shiion protects Naruto with her powers and Naruto lives.
