Yes. Tobi, aka Obito Uchiha, dies while protecting Naruto and Sasuke from Kaguya. She tries to impale the pair with a bone spear attack, Obito and Kakashi move to take the hits. But to protect Kakashi too, Obito uses Kamui to make himself take both attacks. Already battered and worn beyond endurance, Obito's body begins to crumble, and he dies with a smile on his face.

Sasuke then decided that because Itachi basically died to save him, he would go back to Konoha to destroy it and it's elders. He then teams up with Madara (Tobi) to accomplish this, thus him and the rest of Team Taka/Snake (now Team Hebi/Hawk) join the Akatsuki (him and Madara/Tobi [the leader] have the same plans).
