Simplistically, 7.5 mg Hydrocodone should provide equal pain relief to 5mg Oxycodone but one must also consider whether there are other drugs such as aspirin or acetominophen included as these increase the pain relief provided by both these agents.
Having said this, one also must consider that all drugs work slightly differently on different people and linear equations such as "this much of A equals that much of B" is only a comment that refers to the majority effect in a Bell curve.
OxyContin is a different formulation of the sub compound oxycodone. Oxycodone will show up on a UA as an opiate along with any other opiates such as Percocet, Vicoden, Lortab, Hydrocodone, etc... Oxycontin however, it being a semi-synthetic compound of the mixture will not show up on a standard UA dip stick test. In order to test for Oxycontin specifically, the tester would have to use what the industry calls an "oxy- stick". Chances are you are safe from testing positive for opiates if all you have done is OxyContin. Same goes for Methadone... Good Luck!
yes, oxycodone is the active drug in vicodin that gives you the high. so if your dealer has been selling you oxycodone, then most chances are they sold you either percocet, vicodin, or a knock off generic version. This, answere above is wrong, whoever wrote it....The main medication in Vicoden is Hydrocodone, completely differnt than Oxycodone, look up your facts before you talk man, that answere could hurt someone.....
no because the chemical in vicoden is hydrocodone bitrate oxycodone brand name is percocet
No. Vicodin contains the opioid hydrocodone, not oxycodone.
They are both opiates, however, drug tests can test specifically test for oxycodone(Oxycontin), but it does show up the same because they are both opiates.
if its a dip test yes if its a lab test no because they can test for both in a lab
no they nees to check for oxycodone specificly.
Endocet contains oxycodone so yes.
yes if it is a urine test
Opana will show up as oxycodone and opiates (more widely known as morphine). OxyContin shows up as oxycodone.
yes, they would both show up positive as an opioid.
The test is for the compound itself, and they would both show up in the same test. The latter would additionally show up in a test for acetaminophen, if anyone were to bother testing for that.
Oxycodone is an "opioide" and will show up on drug screenings. See: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oxycodone
yes after 8 hours
No. They are both classified as OPIOIDS and will show up on a screening as the same.
"ANY oxycodone (the generic term for Vicodin) will show up in a drug test." The persom who posted this answer is only 1/2 but VERY wrong! Oxycodone is not the generic for Vicone. Oxycodone is a completley different drug and is much stronger than vicodin. Vicodin is made of hydrocodone. Hydrocodone and oxycodone will NOT show up as the same drug. Yes any amount of oxycodone will show up for at leat 3-4 days after taking just one pill.
No. Percocet is oxycodone and ms contin is Morphine. They will both show up.
Yes, they are both oxycodone and will show up as an opiate.
