Yes he does. When Pixy is spotted on radar, Galm 2 moves into the correct position for a wingman to be at when an enemy is spotted, and ends up unintentionally taking the Tac laser burst that was aimed for Galm 1. His plane fireballs instantly which definitely would have killed him.
