Yes, Kill Bill vol. 1 & 2 are both equally good. They do use some violence but that is just Quentin Tarantino's style and I respect that. But Uma Thurman is exellent in her role and there is some great "kick-butt" action. Also the music (as all of Tarantino's movies are) is just perfect. Also, check out some othe Tarantino movies like Pulp Fiction, Jackie Brown, Resevoir Dogs, and Inglorious Bastards.
