Is sonic dead in real life?

well, he can but I seriously doubt he ever will because he's too big of a video game icon. Even if he did die (such as in Sonic the Hedgehog 2006) they'd think of a story line to bring him back. You can die in the game when you lose but as far as a story goes he can't.

Sonic was stabbed through the heart by Mephilis in the 2006 game Sonic the Hedgehog. He was later resurrected by the Chaos Emeralds. But the events of the game erased themselves out of existence, so technically it never happened, making what was just written only occur in another universe.
