My doctor told me Zoloft would help me lose weight when she prescribed it for depression, but it has had the exact opposite effect on me; I have been gaining weight and was so leveled off I was almost emotion free so I went off it cold turkey and am not so hungry but am anxious, achy, tired and irritable. I have noticed a desire to be more active and busy and am also able to focus. I had an awful time with constipation and lack of sex drive..none of which I was told might happen.
