A 1985 steering column may not be a direct fit for a 1991 Chevy Silverado due to differences in design, wiring, and safety features implemented in later models. The 1991 Silverado introduced changes such as the addition of airbag systems and updated ignition mechanisms that may not be compatible with the older column.
