1it should cuz my 87 r10 has a computer in it
It has an ECU which contains memory chips.
Yes JET makes a chip but you have to send your computer to them they solder it in then send it back. that means unless you have an extra computer laying around your truck will be down till you get it back.
NO. Not even close.
That chip is a fraud, I was thinking about getting the same chip for my 1996 chevy 1500 and I looked on some forums And some one found out its a 1 cent radioshack transistor in a box... ide get something from a good brand name.
Yes, but the computer chip itself is different.
I bought a preformance chip and needs to be hooked up to the MAF/IAT sensor. Not able to locate on my 1994 Chevy silverado 5.7
PROM and you can only get them from a junk yard or a dealer
It is called a prom. It snaps inside of the computer. If you turn the computer over and look at the back of it you will see 2 small screews that hold a small medal plate on the computer, remove that plate and you will see the prom. I think your computer is in behind the dash. Remove the inside of the glove box and look in and down to the right and you will see it.
The computer chip
follow your big hose at the end of your ratiator that goes to your motor where the hose meets the motor is the thermostate its 2 bolts that you need deep well socots for and the computer chip is located inside the computer under your hood
If you had keys with computer chip embedded, you will have to go back to a dealer, and have it checked&ordered..
No it does not have a chip in the key. www.keylessride.com
