Yes they do unless you specifically order one not to have a CD player.

The 2001 Mercury Sable does come with a CD player. If the car does not have a CD player in it, an install kit can be purchased to install a CD player.
Sometimes depending on the brand you buy it does, but most car CD players do not come with this feature.

The CD player should be in the stereo, if you bought the car used it may not have come with option. The CD changer option would be located below the stereo
Get a new CD player
You can remove the CDs by ejecting the CDs from the CD player in the car.
Car CD changers will often come with installation instructions if it is purchased new. If the CD changer is already installed in the car, there probably will not be instructions.
There are plenty of car CD players that will do that. Look for MP3/WMV text on the corners of the CD player.
A person does not pay royalties for having a CD player in a car. A person might have to pay extra to the dealer for having a CD Player installed in a new car. This is called an option.
my parents Trailblazer has the same issue, i think it has something to do with the CD player getting warm.. shut the car down for a little while to let things cool down and when you restart the car the CD should come out.
