It can hurt if you don't listen to what you are told to do. It hurts a little after you get them and you won't be able to eat anything hard, and for the first couple of days you can only eat mashed potatoes.
Most people will feel better a few days after you put braces on. But when the braces get tightened again, the cycle repeats. Some people said it didn't hurt at all, and some said it hurts a lot. It depends on each individual.
Answer:
It doesn't hurt when they're putting it on. There's a metal plate that they put around your back molar and you may feel a little pressure when they put it on. They braces that they put on you are just glued on. The aftermath did hurt though. After a day I couldn't eat for a few days and I also had trouble speaking certain words like: thank-you or life guard. It takes getting used to. Give it a week and you'll feel normal again. Make sure you take care of your braces. (I didn't once and my wire got stuck in my gum and it's the worst pain ever!) But putting braces on doesn't hurt what so ever!
Most people do.You at least have to have a retainer for 2 months. Some people wear them for a while and then decide to get them removed.Normally your retainer is a metal band that stays on the back of your front 4 teeth on the bottom row of teeth. The top row of your teeth will be molded and made a special plastic mold that slips over your top row of your teeth when you sleep. But most people get retainers.
There is always going to be some amount of discomfort anytime a dental procedure is performed in our mouths. Having a new retainer is going to require a period of adjustment for the patient as well. The pain should be minimal and if it continues beyond the first week, go back to the dentist.
It hurts some people more than others. But it is bearable since your teeth will look better.
It certainly may for the first few days, after that you won't notice it so much.
Nope, the retainer is fitted to suit your teeth so as long as you wear it often your teeth will always fit in it and will not hurt.
no not really. it may the 1st day/night.
* It does not hurt to get a retainer * Before you get it, they have to make impressions of your mouth which is not painful at all * You need to brush your retainer at night * The retainer covers your top teeth put has a wire in front of your incisors(top teeth) * You get to choose the design/color of your retainer
It may. but it took me about two days to get uses to
my teeth hurt for a few days after i got'em off. my retainer was killin me at first too. man up and take the pain you'll be alright.
Like your mouth is full, it doesn't hurt unless you don't wear it. Sometimes it is hard to eat with it in but I do it anyways.
See, What will a retainer do.
I have exactly the same as that. I got my retainer a few weeks ago and the top one is fine but the bottom one leaves this line and sometimes a cut or ulcer. It also hurts a lot when I put it in. I guess this is normal!
A retainer is used for straiting your teeth if its messed up.
You'd probably break the retainer, another pair would be best.
because they shift. they move. wear your retainer. your bottom lip is flapping enough that it pulls the little skin attached to your teeth and shifts them. im a dentist. trust me.
Loop retainer Hard cast Fixed retainer
If your current retainer does not have suffiecient credit remaining, the attorney may ask for an additional retainer
You can't, any qualified dentist will not fit you with a retainer if a retainer is not needed. If they did so they could be sued.
