When serving team hits the ball and returning team cannot return in three tries or when ball hits the floor. Serving team hits the ball and it goes out of bounds point for other side.
If a volleyball hits the line in volleyball, the ball is considered to be in (any part of the ball).
When the ball comes over your side, your team only has 3 hits to get it over. In those 3 hits, a person cannot hit the ball 2 times in a row. A player can bump the ball to the setter, then the setter sets the ball, and he/she can hit it again.
An ace is when the ball is served over the net and the receiving team either doesn't hit it at all, or only hits it once and the ball is not returned back over the net.
When the ball hits the floor on the opposite side of the net(while still in the vb court) you get a point, then you can serve. When the ball hits the floor on your side of the net, the other team gets a point and gets to serve.
Here are the rules of Volleyball: # Serving There is an underhand and an overhand serve. The ball must go over the net. If the ball goes out, it is a point for the returning team. 2. Returning When returning a ball, you may either bump, spike, set, dive, or dink. The returning team gets 3 hits between all of them. One member of the team can only hit it once, not twice. If one member hits a ball over the net but it goes out of bounds, it is an out. If one member hits a ball not over the net but out of bounds, it is a playable ball, and if you noone goes to get it, it is out. Volleyball is a fun sport that builds upper body strength and doesn't require much running.
