Tiffany's will NOT authenticate any item, BUT- if you take that piece of jewelry for a cleaning, they will definitely TELL you on the spot IF it is counterfeit or not. I've seen this happen twice in my lifetime. A lady brings in tons of silver for cleaning and the rep returns with a kind tone of "I'm sorry, these pieces aren't ours, and therefore we cannot service them"....
