I am another owner of Tandy's 'Electronic Sea Battle'. I do not have the manual, nor do I know where it can be found. I can offer a guide on how to set up a game for 1 or 2 players however. I expect that there are other modes of play that I haven't accessed yet, but here is what I have gathered: For 1 player game against computer: 1. Turn on machine. 2. Decide how many ships you would like to play with. 3. When you hear the dial-tone like 'sonar' noise, enter your ship(s) coordinates, from the side with the power switch, as follows: [Coordinate 1], [Coordinate 2], ENTER/FIRE. For example: a5, a9, ENTER/FIRE. 4. When you have finished entering your coordinates, press START, followed by ENTER/FIRE. 5. The 'sonar' noise will sound, and you should take your first shot at the opponent. Enter the letter first, then the numeral to make up the alpha-numeric coordinate, then press the ENTER/FIRE button. 6. You should hear the computer firing back at you, with the location of it's attack displayed on the screen. For 2 player game: 1. Turn on machine. 2. Decide how many ships you would like to play with. 3. When you hear the dial-tone like 'sonar' noise, Player 1 (the player on the side with the power switch) should enter the coordinates of their ship(s). Enter your ship(s) coordinates as follows: [Coordinate 1], [Coordinate 2], ENTER/FIRE. For example: a5, a9, ENTER/FIRE. 4. When Player 1 has finished, Player 2 may begin entering their details immediately. Use the same method until all ships have been recorded. 5. When Player 2 has finished recording their ships, the game is ready to begin. To begin play, Player 1 must hit the START button, followed by ENTER/FIRE. 6. The 'sonar' noise will sound, and you should take your first shot at the opponent. Enter the letter first, then the numeral to make up the alpha-numeric coordinate, then press the ENTER/FIRE button. 7. Player 2's go.
I'm sorry, don't have the answer. BUT, I do have the same question. So, can anyone point me to the location of the Ryo Sea Master Instructions/manual? Thanks!
