Hmmm.... in California you can get a medical marijuana license for anything probably except emphysema. But I would NOT go there mentioning that you want it for Asthma. I can't imagine how inhaling smoke would help a breathing problem (edit: "Marihuana smoke, unlike cigarette smoke, causes bronchodilatation[expansion of the air passages] rather than bronchoconstriction [narrowing of the air passages] and, unlike opiates, does not cause central respiratory depression., but I do not know. It might!! Do some research on the medicinal effects of marijuana on asthma. If there are ANY possible good effects, you will get your license.
If you want your medical card, just make an appointment at a doctor's office. You can find a physician on canorml.org. Usually their policy is that you pay the $130-$160, but if they are not able to give you a recommendation, you are refunded your money. If they don't offer that, go to a different doctor.
Tell the doctor you currently smoke marijuana and it helps you with sleeping. Tell them that you don't want to take other sleeping pills because of the nasty side effects. They will say OK and give you your card. I thought it was going to be all difficult, but it really isn't.
If you are a girl, say you have painful periods or PMS. Or you can say you are stressed. Say ANYTHING, and you will get it. Just make sure to mention that marijuana is the only thing that helps your symptoms and you want to use it legally (in the eyes of the state).
yes best not to smoke though .eat it canna butter and tinctures
No, you have to have proof of residency. I know this from personal experience.

Yes, it's on their qualifying conditions. multiple sclerosis or other muscle spasm disorders (i.g. Asthma)
nothing, in fact marijuana is good for asthma
Besides using it as a reason to get a medical marijuana license, no. Marijuana, medical or otherwise, actually could trigger an asthma attack, not help it. Asthma is the constriction of airways inside the lungs. It makes exhaling difficult, causes headaches, chest pain, coughing, and many other problems. There is no upside to not being able to breathe properly.
heres just one of many stories of people who find relief from there asthma using marijuana. http://www.rxmarijuana.com/lisa.htm i also have asthma and smoke marijuana on a daily basis. marijuana has a great bronchodilator effect. The only downside is that it can cause chronic bronchitis in asthma patients.

An essay about asthma can be written by doing research on the medical complications it causes.

Asthma is not a contagious disease, it is a medical condition.
