I have cystic acne and use it during large flares. My outbreaks can be rather painful so I find it's initial "burn" to be rather soothing. It's also helped to keep lesions moist which promotes faster healing. Using too much can cause some irritation and it seems to work better if it's applied first thing in the morning and before bed on clean skin.
Acutally there's isn't a real cure to Psoriasis. Blue star doe's keep the itch down a tad however it doesn't cure. If you want something more affective with psoriasis try "Psoriasin Ointment" It's costly but it works better.

According to the Blue Star Ointment website it does. I have tried everything and finally came across Blue Star Ointment and it is going away!! I had one on my hand I was so embarrased of it, but now it's hardly visible. You have to use it consistently everyday two to three times a day apply it.
