The traditional color scheme for a 60th anniversary is diamond white, with diamonds being the traditional gemstone to symbolize this milestone. However, modern interpretations may also include silver and royal blue as complementary colors for a 60th anniversary celebration. Ultimately, the choice of colors can be tailored to suit individual preferences and themes for the occasion.
A diamond's natural colour may be white, or yellow, or brown, or any other diamond colour.
Diamonds are irradiated to change or enhance their colour. Usually enhancing a stone means highlighting its colour -- pink, blue and so forth -- not removing colour, which is what you want to do. A diamond's colour is caused by the inclusion of a trace mineral. Brown diamonds are brown because the traces of nitrogen are in large even-numbered aggregates. Enhancing this diamond may cause it to become a fancier brown or yellow stone, not colourless or white.

According to Wikipedia, diamonds can be altered by "...clarity treatments such as laser drilling to remove inclusions, application of sealants to fill cracks, color treatments to improve a white diamond's color grade, and treatments to give fancy color to a white or off-color diamond." Wikipedia lists its colour as "finest white."
A genuine diamond is defined as 99.9% carbon in isometric crystallized form. White describes a color that means that the diamond has none or only one impurity, varying amounts of nitrogen. Low or no nitrogen puts it at colorless (D, E. F color) and increasing amounts still put it as a white diamond but in the 'near colorless' range.
The highest grade for 'white' diamond colour is D, not A. D is a higher grade than H in diamond colour.
