The hot materials like magma goes up and the cool materials like water goes down . As all magma cools, it became land because it was cooled by water but other magma goes down on and goes back to the flow. The way of the magma goes bigger and water comes in (what we called trench) and causes the seafloor spreading.
Convection currents cause the sea floor to expand because the convection occurs in lava beneath the surface. The plates of earth are constantly pulling apart in the ocean, so the lava rises to the surface due to convection, cools due to the cold temperature of water, and it creates a new portion of sea floor.
Hope this helps :D
convection currents make the rock benethe the surface warmer and less dense therefore causing the rock to rise to the surface
Yes, more specifically the Plastic Mantle (also called the Asthenosphere).
Not conduction, but convection currents, are what drive winds and many ocean currents.

Yes!
Temperature differences in the mantle drive convection currents because warm material is less dense and rises, while cooler material is more dense and sinks. This movement creates a circular flow as the cooler material sinks and gets heated, while the warmer material rises and cools down. The density variations caused by the temperature differences are a key driver of convection in the mantle.
The softer layer below the lithosphere is the asthenosphere. The asthenosphere begins at a depth of approximately 150 km. It has convection currents that arise from the heating and subsequent rising of material from the lower asthenosphere. These convection currents drive the movement of lithospheric plates at the surface, and are the cause of tectonic activity.
Convection currents.
Which best explains the relationship between ocean currents and convection currents?(1 point) Responses Convection currents join with the Coriolis effect to create the winds that drive ocean currents. Convection currents join with the Coriolis effect to create the winds that drive ocean currents. Ocean currents rely on warm convection currents to strength the Coriolis effect. Ocean currents rely on warm convection currents to strength the Coriolis effect. Ocean currents create a Coriolis effect that increases convection currents. Ocean currents create a Coriolis effect that increases convection currents. Convection currents use the Coriolis effect to generate ocean currents.

The ocean currents are colder than the currents in the mantle, and the are located in different areas.

Convection currents in the upper mantle are currently thought to be responsible for plate movement.
Convection currents in the mantle drive plate movements.
Convection currents in the mantle drive plate movements.
Convection currents in the magma drive plate tectonics.Heat generated from the radioactive decay of elements deep in the interior of the Earth creates magma (molten rock) in the aesthenosphere.
Convection currents in the mantle drive plate movements.
Convection currents are currents caused by the expansion of a liquid, solid, or gas as its temperature increases.while colder, denser material sinks.. Convection currents arise in the atmosphere above warm land masses or seas, giving rise to sea breezes and land breezes, respectively. In some heating systems, convection currents are used to carry hot water upwards in pipes. Convection currents in the hot, solid rock of the Earth's mantle help to drive the movement of the rigid plates making up the Earth's surface .
