It sure does . Almost like a rod knock . But with a crack flex plate if you press and hold the brake pedel and step on the gas pedel just a little the noise goes away .. With a rod knock the noise gets louder and faster as you step on the gas..
A cracked flex plate (flywheel) could be your problem.
Perhaps a broken or weak spring in pressure plate
If by "popping noise" you mean backfire, it could be crossed ignition wires, or some sort of misfire.
Most probably the clutch plate.
Loose timing chain? Loose heat shield on catalytic converter?
One thing thing that can cause a squeakingÊ noise with each revolution of a tire is new rim brakes. Bad universal joints may cause the squeaking noise or the back plate may be rubbing on the rotor.
yes
If you are really talking about an automatic transmission flex-plate, then a clicking noise at a lower rpm that seems to go away as yoiu wrap up the motor would indicate a crack. A maual transmission's flywheel that is cracked will generally cause the cluth to slip, and eat the clutch disc rapidly. There will be a strong smell!
the china plate cracked!
That noise is coming from your throw out bearing mate, the bearing that engages the pressure plate of your clutch, many vehicles make the noise, I have seen vehicles with a knew clutch put in and it still makes the noise, id doesnt effect the performance and is too big a problem to worry about.
Sounds like pre-ignition or "pinging", meaning the timing may be over-advanced. If it's an older, carburetta model, it may help to use an octane boost additive in the fuel, because older carby engines tend to ping on unleaded fuel. Another possiblity could be a cracked flex plate (flywheel) only if it is an automatic transmission.
It is on the Anatolian Plate.......Which makes it a Transform plate....I think.
