The only possible and truthful answer for this anyone can give is "I don't know". All we can do is speculate.

It could be accidental, or it could be a secret message, or it could be a method of mind control, or it could be something else. But evil is live backwards, yes.

The words "lived & devil", "evil & live" open the Pandora box for philosophers, religious commentators and critics of Christianity.

However, at the end of the day, no one really knows, and it can be just another funny thing about the English language, though it is quite strange that this language has so many "funny" and often disturbing things when words are read backwards. For eg, "God" is "Dog" read backwards. Maybe, it tells us the obverse side of everything. That every truth is truth only when there is an opposing lie. That "evil" is "evil" only cos it can be compared with the "not evil". But as I said... all this is speculation, no one really knows.

My vote is for: absolutely meaningless. What would you make of the fact that God backwards is dog? There is no meaning to this.
