Depends on what kind of oatmeal you eat. If you buy pre-packaged stuff that has tons of sugar and what not, that will make you gain weight. However, if you buy oatmeal that comes in a big container with no extra flavors added into it, that will help you lose weight. Oatmeal keeps you full for a longer period of time, so you don't eat as much throughout the day. What I do is, I'll make a cup of oatmeal and add some brown sugar or honey. You can also add some fruit, like apples :) Very tasty and healthy.
