Yes, in today's world. More and more jobs are focused on how well or how much education a person has received, even if it's just a diploma from some college that they've earned. More technology and such are focused on those people that can read and write, and far less on those that are illiterate.

Basic education, like learning math, how to read, how to use a computer, the country's native language, etc. should be offered to everyone. Where education falls short, at least in the United States, is that their system is too standardized. It does not allow children to explore their individual talents and pursue their own academic interests throughout their education in grades K-12. So, in some ways education should be the same for everyone and in other ways, it should be different.

Yes, education should be free for everyone.Every person has the right to an education. It would be that persons decision to either abuse it or to grasp education.

...but what about criminals or terrorists? Should we put a limit on education?
