a flying squirrel has fur not haIR BUT THAT DOESNT REALLY MAKE A DIFFERENCE AND YES THEY HAVE EARS BECAUSE THEY ARE A SQUIRrel (sorry my computer was on caps) but as i was saying they are a squirrel they just have extra fat that makes their "wings"

They are made of flaps of skin. When a flying squirrel is about to fly, it spreads out its skin flaps, and jumps. Away it goes! Flying squirrels can't really fly. They just glide.
