Yes, gasoline floats on top of water. Here's a school website with a simple explanation
and diagrams about why it does float on water: http://water.me.vccs.edu/courses/ENV110/lesson20_2b.htm
No, water does not float on gas. Gas floats on water.
Anything can float in different liquids as long as the object's density is less than that of the liquid's density.
It is a physical property. Any gas that has a lower density than air will float above air. This is similar to how if you pour oil into water. The oil will float on the water because it is less dense.
Gasoline floats on water. That is why water is not used on gasoline fires. The fire floats on the water and spreads rather than being smothered by the water.
yes iron does float in water yes iron does float in water
If the object does not quite float in water, adding salt to the water might make the object float, yes.
Oil and gas are less dense than water therefore will separate and float.
Oil and gas are less dense than water therefore will separate and float.
it doesn't, idiotic chamber!
no because is air not liquid
It depends on the density of the solid, liquid, or gas. If the density is lower than water it will float. (Water's density is about 1). Also, if the volume of the solid, liquid, or gas is bigger than the mass then it will also float. It will sink if the solid, liquid, or gas's density is higher than water's density. :)
It is a gas at room temperature, so imagine this answer
Saturn, because it has a lower density than water.
Yes. Because its able to float in gas and liquid.
Saturn is a gas planet, and if it were possible to place it in water it would float. Not sure if the rings would float, but, the planet itself would.
Gasoline will float because it has a lighter density than water. Water has a density of 1.0 g/cm3 and gas has a density of about 0.7 g/cm3
During decomposition an egg gives off gas which collects within the shell. Eventually this collection of gas gives the egg enough bouancy to float.
It is the amount of gas in your turd. Gas is lighter and therefore a turd with more gas will float.
